Book

My passion for animals started when I was little, reading lots of books about wildlife from all over the world. For that reason, I have always wanted to write my own book one day. Of all the places in the world, Africa has always been the most fascinating to me. Inspired by books like Magnificent Africa by Tom Schandy, I`ve also wanted to make a book that shows all of the fantastic wildlife you can find in Africa.
I went on my first trip to Africa back in 2010, visiting Tanzania and
Kenya, and three years later I went on my first trip to Botswana.

To begin with, the idea was to make a book that covered the wildlife of southern and eastern Africa, but I soon realized that this was a bit ambiguous. It would mean that I would have to visit at least eight or nine different countries, and some of them I would probably have to visit several times to gather enough pictures to make a book. I almost gave up the whole project, until I travelled to Botswana a second time in 2017. This resulted in the best trip I have ever been on, with great sightings of all kinds of wildlife, and together with the pictures I took in 2013, I suddenly had enough material to create a decent book.

I`ve called my book Safari in Botswana, and it consists of 178 pages with pictures of 60 different species from seven different places in Botswana. It’s texted with an easy language and is suited for the whole family. It’s a cross between a fact-based book, telling about some of the animals you can find in Botswana, and a guidebook to these seven different places. My goal is to get the book published through a publisher, but so far I haven`t been able to do that yet.
I have, however, printed my book as a photobook through CEWE,
in a 30x30 cm format. Below, you can see a selection of pages from the book. So far its only written in Norwegian. Please contact me
