Safari

On my first trip to Botswana in 2013, I participated on a wildlife project as a volunteer called the Modisa Wildlife Project. At the project they were taking care of more than 30 lions and a pack of wild dogs that other wise would have been shot. I worked closely with the animals for two months deep in the Kalahari in central Botswana. There was a fantastic guide working for the project, called Jack Ntema, and during my stay I got to know him pretty well. He told me about his earlier life when he was working as a guide in the Moremi game reserve in the Okavango delta, and that his dream was to start up his own safari company one day.

Three years later he had left the project and started his own little safari business called Planet Safari, with focus on trips around the Okavango and tin he Kalahari. He invited me on a tour in 2017, and we packed up his car with food and a tent and went into the bush, on an incredible journey through Okavango and Chobe
and ended up at the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We had amazing sightings of all kinds of wildlife, and it became the best trip I have ever been on. This laid the fundation for a future collaboration.

In the fall of 2022, Jack got some problems with his car and
asked me if I could help him to buy a new one. Then he could
get a pickup with the seats mouted on an open truck bed, creating a more authentic safari-vehicle. If I helped him with this, I would get 40% ownership to his safari company. I couldn`t turn down this opprtunity, so I agreed to help him out, and now I`m a proud partner and co-owner of Planet Safari. If you want to experience
